The Florida Gators football team got a scare after their SEC Championship Game loss to Alabama, as head coach Urban Meyer was hospitalized with severe chest pains.

Meyer reportedly checked himself into the Shands Hospital in Gainesville early Sunday morning but has been released according to a source in the Florida athletic department.

According to Florida spokesperson Steve McClain, Meyer was treated for dehydration, but is doing "is doing well now."

His usual post-game show has been delayed as a result of the hospitalization.

Meyer is known to have an arachnoid cyst on his brain that has caused him extreme pain when stressed. He has been hospitalized in the past as a result of stress, however, it is unclear if he has ever been hospitalized for chest pains.
